Focus on workplace satisfaction

The efficiency and operation of any company are significantly influenced by its ability to secure a stable workforce. In recent years, the importance of employee retention has increased considerably, which is why it is essential for companies to place emphasis on ensuring workplace satisfaction and measuring it regularly.
Company managers should always know whether employees feel comfortable at their workplace, have information about how they cooperate with their immediate colleagues and supervisors, and whether they are satisfied with work schedules and benefits.

Different measurement methods

For all these reasons, measuring employee satisfaction has become widespread in many organizations, but it can only be effective if carried out systematically and continuously. Several methods can be used for measurement.

The most common method is a survey, which should be conducted anonymously, as experience shows that employees are more honest in this way. In such cases, feedback tends to be more critical, and potential problems can be identified more easily. In general, it is advisable to include closed-ended response options using a scale from 1 to 10, as well as some open-ended questions.

It is also possible and useful to organize focus group discussions within the company, during which selected colleagues can discuss the most important factors of satisfaction.

Periodic employee performance evaluations can also serve as a useful source of information, as they allow assessment of how a given colleague feels at work. So-called exit interviews can likewise provide valuable insights into areas where organizational issues may exist.

Tisza Automotive continuously pays attention to its colleagues

At Tisza Automotive, we recognized the importance of employee satisfaction long ago, which is why we regularly take care to ensure that our colleagues feel comfortable at work. To this end, we have introduced measures such as playing music in production halls, and in our restaurant we ensure that the offering is of appropriate quality and variety.

We use all of the above-mentioned measurement methods, and they have proven to be effective. At the same time, when colleagues feel that changes have been made as a result of their written or verbal feedback, their satisfaction increases, as they feel that their opinions are heard and valued.

During surveys, colleagues can honestly express their views on work organization and workplace relationships, and they can also make suggestions, which we very often incorporate into everyday operations. In this way, we contribute to ensuring that all 2,500 of our colleagues feel good at work.
